Radiologists Without Borders is in the process of collaborating with the World Health Imaging, Telemedicine, and Informatics Alliance (WHITIA) to offer services in Guatemala. These efforts include, but are not limited to, offering interpretation on various X-Ray examinations performed in clinics serving an indigent population. RWB is also investigating the feasibility of acquiring mammography equipment to establish a screening program in fight against breast cancer.

WHITIA is very similar to RWB in working to improve the health status and quality of health care received by people in limited resource areas worldwide by providing communities with access to: low-cost, digital X-ray and telemedicine systems; medical professionals who can remotely assist with diagnosis and the technology to facilitate that interaction; and the ability to track health information that can be used to monitor public health trends and improve health care delivery.
